Neyer Properties, in a joint venture partnership with Interstate Batteries, is developing a fulfillment center in Columbus, Ohio. Located 10 miles east of downtown Columbus, this fulfillment center will be the first building in The Hub @ 70/270 development, which can accommodate up to 400,000 total square feet of industrial/distribution space. Situated at the front of the site, the Interstate Batteries Regional Fulfillment Center will have direct frontage along I-70/I-270.
This facility will mark one of eight regional fulfillment centers nationwide for Interstate Batteries. The Interstate Batteries Regional Fulfillment Center will be approximately 151,000 square feet and solely dedicated to distribution for the company. The project will break ground in January 2024 and occupancy is expected in Fall 2024.
Partnering with Interstate Batteries means aligning with an industry leader with a rich history. Founded in 1952, Interstate Batteries is powered by a distributor network of 300 wholesale warehouses and backed up by more than 150,000 dealers around the world as well as 200 All Battery Center franchise stores.
This new facility will be a state-of-the art fulfillment center to service distributors in Ohio and surrounding states. Having one of the largest independent battery distribution systems in North America, the company needed a space catered to fit their specific needs. This new endeavor with Neyer Properties is offering Interstate Batteries the opportunity for customization.
Interstate Batteries was attracted to this site based on the great location along two interstate highways, I-70 and I-270, the city’s evolving industrial landscape, and the City of Columbus’ economic development initiatives. Columbus is witnessing the emergence of cutting-edge industrial parks and warehouses due to the demand for efficient and technology-equipped environments.
Other partners of the project include Byers, Minton & Associates, Red Architecture, Kimley-Horn, and Brocon Construction.
