The rain did not stop the City of Montgomery from celebrating topping off the office building in Phase I of the Montgomery Quarter development on July 13, 2021.
The milestone was marked by City of Montgomery employees & city council, the development team, and project partners. Those in attendance signed the beam before it was lifted atop the structure and put in place.
Fifth Third Private Banking will be occupying the top floor of the building.

A ‘topping off’ ceremony is a long-standing tradition of construction workers, particularly steel workers, to commemorate the completion of a building’s structure – specifically the placement of the final steel beam. The beam placed atop the office building was adorned with an American flag.
Montgomery Quarter is being developed by Brandicorp and Neyer Properties. CBRE is leasing the office portion of the development and Jeffery Anderson Real Estate is representing retail and restaurant leasing.
