That passion ultimately steered him toward a degree in business and, eventually, a career in real estate development.
Joining Neyer Properties as a co-op in 2004, Jeff quickly realized he never wanted to leave! He fell in love with seeing the impact of the work we do here—transforming communities across Greater Cincinnati and beyond—and finding satisfaction in watching new places emerge from the ground up. He’s especially proud of the projects he’s helped deliver over the years, including Keystone Parke, Three Oaks, The Baldwin, Montgomery Quarter, and many others where people now live, work, and play.
No two days at Neyer have ever been the same for Jeff. With 22 years at the company and counting, he provides deep institutional knowledge and is involved in every stage of development. He oversees all major projects as Director of Development—from land acquisitions and dispositions to redevelopments—and leads new developments from initial due diligence through final construction, including design, planning, zoning, permitting, and entitlements.
Jeff’s project involvement includes a wide range of product types: urban mixed-use, office, medical, retail, industrial, senior housing, multifamily, hospitality, and residential land development. He has also contributed to numerous LEED Gold, Silver, and certified projects as a LEED accredited professional.
From his years in this industry, a valuable lesson he has learned is that impactful development projects generally span many years from start to finish so tenacity is extremely important and curiosity is another key piece of the puzzle.
Jeff’s favorite tradition at Neyer is our annual ugly Christmas sweater contest—especially because participants enthusiastically compete to win a signed photo of him in his infamously hideous sweater that was purchased from the girls’ section at the local Goodwill.
Outside the office, he can be found playing competitive soccer in the “old guy league” (his words). When he’s not on the pitch, he’s busy cheering on FC Cincinnati, snowboarding, traveling, or enjoying a good margarita. Driven by his love of local Indian food Jeff would one day like to visit India to experience their culture and, of course, sample the food at its source (he’s heard they have pretty good Indian food).
