Our Team

Sophie Ficek

Associate Project Manager
Sophie starts each day here at Neyer with a smile—greeting teammates on her way in and grabbing her signature cup of green tea!

Her workday is typically a balance between overseeing development projects, working with the capital expenditure (CAPEX) team, and managing the Development co-op.

As our Associate Project Manager, she ensures projects are delivered on time and within budget by overseeing overall schedules and financials. She supports research, due diligence, entitlements, and site planning for both building redevelopments and land acquisitions, collaborating closely with the acquisitions, development, and leasing teams.

Sophie also manages both current and future land infrastructure needs across multiple projects, working with the internal development team and consultants to optimize site design while coordinating permits and applications with municipalities and utility companies. Additionally, she works with construction teams to manage installation schedules around site operations.

Drawn to real estate from an early age, Sophie has always loved seeing the transformation of vacant land into meaningful community assets. Now in her development career, she brings creativity to every project to make an impact—whether it’s finding new ways to organize a project, working on land or space planning, or navigating the development process.

Guided by her personal motto, “If you’re not learning, you’re not growing,” Sophie embraces every task as an opportunity to expand her skills. She believes new lessons can be learned from familiar tasks that will help you grow professionally and personally. In her commitment to professional growth, Sophie completed Five Capitals’ 12-month Next Level Leader program, which further strengthened her leadership skills.

Originally from Denver, she says the warm, welcoming people here made it easy for Cincinnati to become home when she moved here for college—though the incredible food and drink scene certainly helped!

If you ever receive an out-of-office message from Sophie, she’s probably using up all her PTO traveling for family functions or trips with her friends. In her downtime, she enjoys exploring creative hobbies like sewing, art, DIY projects, and more.
