West Chester FacadeWest Chester Protective Gear, a leading supplier of hand protection, rainwear and protective clothing, has announced a pending relocation of its corporate headquarters from Corridor Park Drive in Monroe, Ohio to E. Kemper Road in Sharonville, Ohio. The new address will be 11500 Canal Street, Sharonville, Ohio 45241.

West Chester Protective Gear has over 120 full time employees and has outgrown its warehouse, distribution and office space at its current location. The Sharonville facility provides 60% more square footage and allows for future expansion for the rapidly growing durable goods company. The company has an extensive global distribution network and annually supplies millions of industrial and consumer gloves, protective garments and rainwear to protect workers on the job and at home.

The nearly 260,000 square foot facility owned by Neyer Properties is part of the Gateway 75 property, one of the largest available contiguous spaces in the Cincinnati region with over one million square feet. Gateway 75’s location to rail, highway, and UPS distribution hub facilities were driving factors in West Chester Protective Gear’s decision.

“The Gateway 75 property offers a superior location with excellent access to I-75 and I-275,” said Chris Dobrozsi, Vice President, Real Estate Development, Neyer Properties. “The property is ideally situated for distribution, manufacturing and assembly tenants such as West Chester Protective Gear.”

West Chester Protective Gear and Neyer worked closely with the City of Sharonville Department of Economic Development and the State of Ohio to receive significant incentives. The State of Ohio awarded Job Creation Tax Credits to the deal. The City of Sharonville awarded the project a Job Creation Incentive Program in the form of a grant towards the company’s employees earnings tax. In addition, the city also awarded a forgivable loan that will be waived over a period of eight years so long as West Chester Protective Gear maintains its committed payroll projections.

“West Chester Protective Gear’s announcement is another excellent example of Sharonville’s pro-growth, pro-business policies,” said Chris Xeil Lyons, Economic Development Director, City of Sharonville. “Sharonville is a great place to do business and we are aggressive in attracting top companies such as West Chester Protective Gear to our community.”

The relocation represents a great success for Neyer Properties and the City of Sharonville to bring a large, well known company and large employer back inside the beltway. West Chester Protective Gear’s tenancy will serve as a catalyst to stimulate more leasing and job growth in the remaining 720,000 SF of space that is being marketed at Gateway 75.

“We are excited about the relocation of our company to the City of Sharonville and thank Neyer Properties and the Department of Economic Development for their support,” said Kyle Packer, CFO, West Chester Protective Gear. “Our mission is to provide exceptional products and services to our customers and our new headquarters will be strategically located to support enhanced global operations and continued business growth.”

West Chester Protective Gear is slated to move its warehouse operations to the new location in November 2013 with office operations fully relocated by June 2014.
